Dear Border Church Family,
This week we will be having Church in our regular venue at the QCWA Hall at 169 Griffith Street, Coolangatta. Parking can be found on Griffith and Boundary Streets as well as on Marine Parade. For shaded parking you can park under Twin Towns. We will be meeting at 9:30am QLD/10:30am NSW and look forward to spending time with you.
Border Church this Week
This week is Vision Saturday and we want to paint a vision for where we will be going through the rest of the year. We invite your voice as we look to how we can serve our community through 2024 and beyond.
This week we continue our new series on the letters to the Thessalonians called "Upending the Upside Down". This week we look at 1 Thessalonians 2-3 and the theme of "Glory and Joy". How much love do we have for others in the family of God? What are you willing to invest in the Kingdom?

This Weekend
The combined churches Epic Youth resumes this Friday at 5:30-7:30pm NSW Time. The flyer for the coming term can be found below. Tonight the theme is "Youth's Back!". Please share with any young people who might like to attend. The location is at the Tweed Presbyterian Hall on the corner of Wharf and Florence streets, Tweed Heads.
Bible Discovery Groups
For 2024, make it a resolution to begin or to join at least one Discovery Bible Reading Group. They are super simple to do and a great way to learn in community with others, especially those new to the Bible. You can get something out of this no matter what level you are at. We would love to show you how to lead one of these groups simply. Please let us know if you would like to start one.
News
Season 2 of Sealed & Revealed will begin with dual sessions on Monday February 19 and Wednesday February 21. Times for these two sessions will be advised next week with a flyer. In this series we will look at the New Testament interpretation of apocalyptic prophecies (minus the book of Revelation) to explore how the Apostles projected forward their expectations of the end times.
The 2024 season of The Punchline is beginning and is moving to Sunday mornings. I have already recorded a first episode for this year that will air in a few weeks on the topic of what to expect when you come to Church. Last year's programs we were a part of can be found below:

Wednesday Prayer Meeting
Prayer meetings are on Wednesdays at 3pm NSW time at 179 Botanical Circuit, Banora Point. Please message me or speak to Lorraine if you have any prayer requests we can add to our list. All are welcome to join as we pray for our community and upcoming projects.
Sealed & Revealed - Heralds of the Messiah
Our first series on Messianic Prophecies is now finished and in February we will resume a new series looking at the New Testament view of prophecy (minus Revelation which will be dealt with in a future season).
