Border Church this Week

This week we continue our new series, "What the Hell: The Nine Sermons", looking at life, death and the afterlife. In this second sermon we will explore what the Bible teaches about the nature of mankind at creation and at the fall. What is a soul? Do we have souls or are we souls? Are souls immortal or mortal? We will explore all these topics from the Bible.

Kids/Youth Church will be running for the time that the service is on, directly after the worship.

We always have a healthy vegetarian fellowship lunch after Church. Our theme this week is Indian and soups. We would love you to join us for this time of fellowship. Our lunch schedule can be found here - https://border.church/pages/church-luncheons-roster

The sermon notes from last week are attached to this newsletter. To catch up on our What the Hell series these can be found here:

This Weekend

The combined churches Epic Youth is back on tonight. This term's flyer can be found below. Please share with any young people who might like to attend. The location is at the Tweed Presbyterian Hall on the corner of Wharf and Florence streets, Tweed Heads.

At Border Church we celebrate all Mums and Mum-figures this weekend. Whether you are a mother, grandmother, aunt, big sister, teacher or in any other capacity given a nurturing heart towards others, we honour you.

A Mother's Love

There are times when only a mother's love
Can understand our tears,
Can soothe our disappoints
And calm all of our fears.

There are times when only a mother's love
Can share the joy we feel
When something we've dreamed about
Quite suddenly is real.

There are times when only a mother's faith
Can help us on life's way
And inspire in us the confidence
We need from day to day.

For a mother's heart and a mother's faith
And a mother's steadfast love
Were fashioned by the angels
And sent from God above.
