Dear Border Church Family,
PLEASE NOTE: As Daylight Savings has ended, we are now meeting at 10am. Please adjust your calendar accordingly. We look forward to seeing you this week.
This week is the final week we will be having Church at a special venue - Vibe Church, 3 Beryl Street, Tweed Heads. Parking can be found on Beryl Street and in the car park off Empire Lane. For shaded parking you can park under Twin Towns. We will be meeting at 10am and look forward to spending time with you.
This week we are blessed once again to have a special guest speaker, Pastor Stewart Beverage with us from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association to lead us through their special discipleship course. We will have a shorter time of worship and then jump straight into the discipleship training.
Kids Church will be running for the time that the service is on, directly after the worship. We will have two groups, one for younger children and another for teens and youth.
We always have a healthy vegetarian fellowship lunch after Church. Our theme this week is Americana. We would love you to join us for this time of fellowship. Our lunch schedule can be found here - https://border.church/pages/church-luncheons-roster
The combined churches Epic Youth is on pause for the next few weeks and will be back on May 10. Next term's flyer can be found below. Please share with any young people who might like to attend. The location is at the Tweed Presbyterian Hall on the corner of Wharf and Florence streets, Tweed Heads.
This Sunday night from 6-7pm there is a combined Churches "Purely Worship Night" at Conxions Church, 19 Prince Street, Murwillumbah. One hour of nothing but praise and worship, uplifting our wonderful God.
For 2024, make it a resolution to begin or to join at least one Discovery Bible Reading Group. They are super simple to do and a great way to learn in community with others, especially those new to the Bible. You can get something out of this no matter what level you are at. We would love to show you how to lead one of these groups simply. Please let us know if you would like to start one.
This week a team from Border Church were able to support the Scripture Union Chaplaincy program at the Elanora State High School helping out with a fundraising BBQ. Please keep the Chaplaincy programs in our local schools in your prayers.
The combined Churches of Murwillumbah are running their annual ANZAC funday at the Murwillumbah Showgrounds this year. Please come and support this day. Last year was a lot of fun and this year will be as well. Border Church will be running a stall as well as sponsoring the Pinnacle of Terror Trailer. If you would like to join us to bless the community please speak with one of our leadership team.
Next week we have a special guest speaker at Border Church - Jacqueline Ward, an award winning classical soprano and contemporary musician. In the afternoon we will be blessed with a free community concert. Please take the opportunity to invite lovers of music to this.
Jacqueline Ward is a classical soprano and award-winning songwriter. While performing as a recitalist and with orchestras and choirs, Jacqueline continues her creative output through contemporary song. She gains inspiration from life experiences, nature, and her faith. Jacqueline is a winner of the Australian Songwriting Contest and released her debut studio album ‘Jackie Ward’ in 2016. Originally from Queensland, Jacqueline now lives in Tasmania with her husband and young son.
Starting in May we have a new series exploring the nature of humanity, the afterlife and eternal destiny. This series will run from May to July with a few interruptions in-between for various functions that are happening in the middle.
We are co-hosting the National Day of Prayer once again this year with Vibe Church. on Saturday, May 18, at the Vibe Church venue at 3 Beryl Street, Tweed Heads we will be joined by other local Churches as we spend the day in prayer and praise. Different Churches will be hosting each hour from 10am-4pm.

Wednesday Prayer Meeting
Prayer meetings are on Wednesdays at 3pm at 179 Botanical Circuit, Banora Point. Please message me or speak to Lorraine if you have any prayer requests we can add to our list. All are welcome to join as we pray for our community and upcoming projects.
Sealed & Revealed
Season 2 of Sealed & Revealed has begun with a Zoom session on Wednesdays at 6pm. In this series we will look at the New Testament interpretation of apocalyptic prophecies (minus the book of Revelation) to explore how the Apostles projected forward their expectations of the end times.
