This week we will be having Church in our regular venue at the QCWA Hall at 169 Griffith Street, Coolangatta. Parking can be found on Griffith and Boundary Streets as well as on Marine Parade. For shaded parking you can park under Twin Towns. We will be meeting at 9:30am QLD/10:30am NSW and look forward to spending time with you.
Border Church this Week
This week we continue our series called "Enchanted by the Go-Spell". We learn another skill this week - a New Way to Pray! That's right, we will be learning how to use conversational prayer, non-threatening, casual way to introduce prayer to new people and to reinvigorate your own prayer life.
This week we are having Cafe-Style Church. We always have a healthy vegetarian fellowship lunch after Church. We will be having Indian-themed food for lunch this week! Our lunch schedule can be found here - https://border.church/pages/church-luncheons-roster
This Weekend
Note that there is no Epic Youth while school holidays are on. We will resume on October 20.
If you would like to go to the Last Great Day of the Kingdom Festival, it will be held at Kingdom Church at 29/211 Brisbane Road, Biggera Waters on Friday, October 6 at 5:30pm QLD time.

For those who aren't wanting to vote on Saturday October 14 in the referendum, there are early voting locations around the region. Here are some places you may cast your vote Monday-Friday before the election.

Having experienced division on our border recently we pray that God guides our country on a path that rejects division over ethnic differences.
Thursday the 12th of October is Purple Heart day, if you would like to join this or know anyone who would like to come there will be a gathering in the park at Jack Evans.
On Tuesday October 24 at 6pm there will be a celebration of 15 years of local churches sponsoring SRE in the Tweed. This will be held at Tweed Presbyterian Church Hall on the corner of Florence and Wharf Streets, Tweed Heads.
The next combined Churches service will be hosted by Tweed Presbyterian Church on Sunday November 12 at 10:45am.
I am set to record two more programs next month to finish the series on lessons from Church History. We will cover the period of the Great Awakening (1800-1914) and then the modern period, 1914-2000. My fifth radio podcast with Juice 107.3's 'The Punchline' aired last Sunday. This one was on Church History from 1000 A.D-1500 AD. covering the period of the Dark Ages up to the Reformation, with lessons for the Gold Coast-Tweed in 2023. Wednesday Prayer Meeting
Prayer meetings are on Wednesdays at 3pm at 179 Botanical Circuit, Banora Point. Please message me or speak to Lorraine if you have any prayer requests we can add to our list. All are welcome to join as we pray for our community and upcoming projects.
Sealed & Revealed - Heralds of the Messiah
This is a new interactive discipleship series that will run over a few months looking at prophecies pointing to the coming Messiah and showing that Jesus of Nazareth was the promised Messiah. Through key passages, we will also lay the groundwork for understanding how prophecy works, types of prophecy, and the themes, principles and methods of interpretation. Other worship opportunities
If you or anyone you know would like to start a Discovery Bible Reading group, we would be happy to equip and support you in this. We will be teaching how to do these from this week. It really is very simple.
We run Alpha small groups on a regular basis and if you would like help hosting one for your friends or loved ones to discover Jesus and the basics of the Bible, please let us know.
