Dear Border Church Family,
This week we will be having Church in the park. We will be in the park at Jack Evans Boat Harbor behind Twin Towns. Limited parking can be found on Boundary Street but there is usually plenty of parking along Coral Street. Look for our four gazebos and BORDER CHURCH banner near the water as we will make an assessment on the day as to a comfortable spot for Church.
Border Church this Week
This week we start continue our series "Enchanted by the Go-Spell" by going to the basics. What is the Gospel that a 2-year old can grasp? Do we need a refresher on the simple truths of the Bible from time-to-time? Is there a 2-year old in all of us? Come and find out.
This week we are having Park Church with a fellowship time afterwards. We always have a healthy vegetarian fellowship lunch after Church. We will be having poke bowls this week! Our lunch schedule can be found here - https://border.church/pages/church-luncheons-roster
After our service and before lunch we will be having a time of dedication of children and families to our Heavenly Father.
This Weekend
Friday night is Epic Youth. It is "Movie Maker" tonight. We meet at the Tweed Presbyterian Church at the corner of Florence and Wharf streets, Tweed Heads. Start time is 5:30pm. We are combining with other Churches in the area for combined youth, grades 4-9 (older kids also welcome as leaders). Here is the term schedule below.
This Sunday at 2:30pm we will have a Vision Team meeting at the Latchman's, 179 Botanical Circuit. We will be discussing our Spring plans and further planning into 2024.
News
This week I attended the Gold Coast Mayor's Christian Prayer Breakfast and it was inspiring to worship God with 250 Church and ministry leaders across the region. I also attended meetings with the team from Billy Graham Evangelistic Association as we plan for the 2024 crusade of his grandson, Will Graham, on the Gold Coast.
Next Wednesday, September 13 Dr Kameel Majdali will be speaking at Banora Point Community Centre. This will be from 6-8pm and the event is being arranged by Pastor Enoch Lavender.
Next Sunday there will be a combined Churches worship service in the evening at The Hub Baptist Church, Corporation Circuit, Tweed Heads South. The service will start at 5pm but there will be food trucks from 4pm.
If you would like the blessing of late-year festivals there are celebrations being held at Kingdom Church at 29/211 Brisbane Road, Biggera Waters. We are discussing partnering with them to hold southern celebrations in future years. Trumpets and Atonement are free for anyone.

Tabernacles/Kingdom Festival - Friday, September 29 to Wednesday, October 4 - This will be a special event held at Genesis Church in Carrara. The schedule can be found here. Wednesday Prayer Meeting
Prayer meetings are on Wednesdays at 3pm at 179 Botanical Circuit, Banora Point. Please message me or speak to Lorraine if you have any prayer requests we can add to our list. All are welcome to join as we pray for our community and upcoming projects.
Sealed & Revealed - Heralds of the Messiah
This is a new interactive discipleship series that will run over a few months looking at prophecies pointing to the coming Messiah and showing that Jesus of Nazareth was the promised Messiah. Through key passages, we will also lay the groundwork for understanding how prophecy works, types of prophecy, and the themes, principles and methods of interpretation. Other worship opportunities
If you or anyone you know would like to start a Discovery Bible Reading group, we would be happy to equip and support you in this. We will be teaching how to do these from this week. It really is very simple.
We run Alpha small groups on a regular basis and if you would like help hosting one for your friends or loved ones to discover Jesus and the basics of the Bible, please let us know.
