Dear Border Church Family,
This week we will be having Church in our regular venue at the QCWA Hall at 169 Griffith Street, Coolangatta. Parking can be found on Griffith and Boundary Streets as well as on Marine Parade. For shaded parking you can park under Twin Towns. We will be meeting at 10am and look forward to spending time with you.
Border Church this week
Our guest speaker this week is Jessie Skelly, youth evangelist and leader of the combined Churches Friday night youth programs. We are so blessed to have him and his family join us and we welcome them this week.

This Weekend
Friday night is Epic Youth. The theme is "Split Screen". We meet at the Tweed Presbyterian Church at the corner of Florence and Wharf streets, Tweed Heads. Start time is 5:30pm. We are combining with other Churches in the area for combined youth, grades 4-9 (older kids also welcome as leaders). Here is the term schedule below.
News
We have a few more exciting guests coming to bless us for the rest of August as Alina will be out of commission for a few weeks and Brendan will be taking lighter duties to help out with the baby. My lighter duties will still enable me to visit and assist any members as needed as well as Bible studies, prayer meeting, etc.
- We have had a change due to a conflict of scheduling and so next week we will be joined by Scott Devlin and a team from Creation Ministries International to speak at Border Church in the morning and afternoon. I am super excited for this event!
- The last Saturday in August we will be joined by our frined Phil Coates from Murwillumbah Baptist Church. Phil is a semi-regular guest at Border Church as he loves to come for a double dose of the Holy Ghost for his weekend.
Carly Fletcher is a Christian musician with a passion for sharing the gospel through song. She is working on her fourth studio album of original music and is over halfway towards her fundraising goal. Carly will be coming to Border Church soon to bless us with her music, and we are just looking at locking in a date. In a week I will record my fifth radio podcast with Juice 107.3's 'The Punchline' and this aired last Sunday. If you have any favourite hymns, praise or scripture songs you would like to nominate to be in them, please let me know ASAP. Inclusion will depend on the complexity of the song and whether it fits the criteria of a worship song, but we hope to include as many favourite worship songs as possible.

Wednesday Prayer Meeting
Prayer meetings are on Wednesdays at 3pm at 179 Botanical Circuit, Banora Point. Please message me or speak to Lorraine if you have any prayer requests we can add to our list. All are welcome to join as we pray for our community and upcoming projects.
Sealed & Revealed - Heralds of the Messiah
This is a new interactive discipleship series that will run over a few months looking at prophecies pointing to the coming Messiah and showing that Jesus of Nazareth was the promised Messiah. Through key passages, we will also lay the groundwork for understanding how prophecy works, types of prophecy, and the themes, principles and methods of interpretation. Other worship opportunities
If you or anyone you know would like to start a Discovery Bible Reading group, we would be happy to equip and support you in this. We will be teaching how to do these from this week. It really is very simple.
We run Alpha small groups on a regular basis and if you would like help hosting one for your friends or loved ones to discover Jesus and the basics of the Bible, please let us know.
